Most NCLEX-RN practice-question tools present items as plain multiple choice, nothing like the real exam's next-generation format. Students who train on generic quiz interfaces are unprepared for the actual test's split-screen layout, where they must read a live client chart — nurses' notes, vitals, labs, and orders — while answering matrix, cloze, highlight, and select-all-that-apply items scored on a partial-credit basis.
